People and their dear Ganga…

While traveling North of India for some special material selection for one of my clients, I took an opportunity to visit Varanasi and the “Assi Ghat” on one fine morning…

and it was magical to see how the landscape was articulated to experience the Ganges. The atmosphere was really vibrant with people engaged in classical music, prayag, prayers, exercising, bathing, dancing etc… It was as if the Ganges opened her arms to us…

Tried to catch this mood through a sketch… it was an interesting learning with respect to urban landscape design from history….
